The Committee of the Association and the Board of the Foundation came to KISC for their regular meeting. I got to check them in and prepare a meat fondue for them. I also got to join them for dinner! It was a great experience to meet these people who do so much for the Centre!
Founded in 1923, the World Scout Centre was the dream of Lord Baden-Powell and is open to groups and individuals throughout the whole year. It provides an excellent base for exploring the foothills of the Swiss Alps, for sightseeing excursions and for meeting lots of other people from all over the world. The Centre occupies 17 hectares of wooded ground at the southern end of the village.
Around 11,000 young people visit the Centre each year from over 35 different countries, ensuring a unique international atmosphere.
